How to Connect via Google Cast
To enjoy your favorite content on the big screen, follow these simple steps:
Crucial Step: Ensure that both your smartphone and your Smart TV (or Chromecast device) are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. The devices will not be able to discover each other if they are on different networks or using mobile data.
- Launch the App: Open the Smart Cast Mirroring app on your mobile device.
- Scan for Devices: Tap the "Cast" or "Search" icon located on the main screen. The app will scan for available Google Cast-enabled devices.
- Select Your TV: Once your TV appears in the list, tap on its name to initiate the connection.
- Start Mirroring: Accept any prompts on your TV screen. Your phone screen will appear on the TV shortly.
Troubleshooting
Cannot find your TV in the list?
- Double-check that Wi-Fi is toggled ON on both devices and they share the exact same network name (SSID).
- Restart your Wi-Fi router if the devices still cannot see each other.
- Ensure your TV has Google Cast/Chromecast built-in and it is enabled in the TV's system settings.
Experiencing lag or stuttering?
- A latency of about 1 second is normal for wireless mirroring.
- For the most stable connection and to minimize latency, we highly recommend connecting both devices to a 5GHz Wi-Fi band.
